Although I am not currently homeschooling, I did homeschool my son Caleb (9) from K-1st grade and I have many homeschooling friends. I cheer those on who are sacrificing in this way and it still holds a special place in my heart. It is still a possibility for us again in the future, but we will take 1 day at a time.
With that being said, I wanted to share one of my favorite homeschool websites, holyspiritledhomeschooling.net. This site provides rich encouragement for homeschooling families and great resources for the education process.
The site’s founder, Jamerrill Stewart, is a homeschooling mom with a passion for encouraging and helping others in the same quest. She has just released a post on her Top Ten Money Saving and FREE Resource Websites for Homeschool, including her own new site, FreeHomeschoolDeals.com.
These resources include free printable workbook pages, coupons, free ebooks, downloads and more.
Jamerrill wants to encourage families that homeschooling can be done frugally and on a budget. There are tons of free and cheap resources available for thoses who choose the educate their children at home and I’ve even used some of these for preschool activities with Annie (4).
So if you are a homeschool parent who needs a little encouragement or someone who is just interested in learning more about homeschooling, check out HolySpritLedHomeschooling.net.
